Workshop

Details

The focus of the Workshop is on communicating innovations in i) integrated fire management, ii) technical innovations, iii) stakeholder engagement and risk communication strategies, as well as iv) policy coherence and risk management; and demonstrating its application to bridge the gap between science and practice. We propose two blocks each with specific themes and moments of interaction with the audience. In order, to facilitate audience interaction, a mobile APP (Mentimeter) will be used during the Workshop. Target audience : The Workshop brings together knowledge and experience in methodologies, systems, actions, and tools across wildfire resilient landscape themes to communicate recent findings and accelerate the transfer of knowledge and best practices to stakeholders, policymakers, and multi-forest actors; Additionally, empowering the WFRM community to address current and future wildfire challenges. ~2nd part – structure The second part (80’) will include three projects sharing different levels/approaches to stakeholder engagement: local communities – FIRE-RES; cross-sectoral actors and policies at EU level - Firelogue; and practitioners and end-users – ResAlliance. Focuses on stakeholder's engagement and policy needs, namely “Why”, “What” and “How” each project is devoted to promoting knowledge sharing and networking about user needs. Finally, a common discussion session asking for audience interaction to discuss the interconnection of multi-stakeholder engagement across projects: How to move forward towards effectively engage stakeholders' needs and views in the integrated implementation of WFRM and related policies?
